About Us - A Personal Message From Linda Orchard

Safety Net Development CoachingHello and thank you for visiting the Safety Net site. I hope you are inspired to take action by what you have seen, in whatever way is best for you.

I am an accredited Professional Development Coach having achieved a Distinction in 2004 through the European Coaching Foundation. I am a qualified NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner having trained with Paul McKenna and Richard Bandler, and an EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Practitioner.

Over the past 14 years I have been providing advice and guidance in corporate settings, in schools and with private clients on both personal and professional challenges, effectively creating and managing change, through the development of first class transition and communication skills.

I have experience as both a mentor and assessor and, having worked in the area of careers education, advice and guidance since the early nineties, reached my goal of establishing 'Safety Net Development Coaching' in 2004. Having become quite an expert on positive work-life balance, I successfully combine my business with being a wife and mother. I write the monthly Well-Being column for a newspaper in Northamptonshire, where I have lived for 11 years since coming originally from the West Midlands where I qualified in the 1980's as a Business and Modern Languages Graduate. Along the way, I have worked in London, France, Portugal and Tunisia.

I especially enjoy coaching around issues of relationships and communication and am involved in the Government Pathfinder Schools Project where I provide mentoring and support to young people working through Business Enterprise challenges. I am an Associate Coach for Entrepreneurs in Action , CGTC and Unlimited Potential and fully believe that ‘you can if you think you can'. My aim is to help people save time, money and energy, empowering them to reach their full potential with confidence and clarity. I like to work in a relaxed and informal way whilst at the same time demanding commitment and hard work from my clients and guaranteeing that they will get the same from me.

So many people are prepared to put up with what they think life has dealt them when so often this isn't necessary if you really want something different. Many people are surprised how easy the way forward to your personal ideal can be, with encouragement, support and the right sort of incisive, challenging questions along the way designed to really make you think.” As Thomas Edison said, “If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would truly astound ourselves”.

Safety Net' was born out of the desire to provide a ‘ virtual' safety net for people who ardently want to take steps towards new directions, success, happiness and achievement in their lives and careers, but who may currently be unable to see a way forward, or who realize that that change will require a move outside their personal comfort zone. The promise I make is that each service we provide is delivered with individuality, integrity and a passion for setting and maintaining high standards. W hatever you present, it is 100% worth working on because it matters to you .
